他們就是荷蘭Death/Thrash重裝部隊Legion of the Damned！

1995年，Erik Fleuren(鼓)和Twan Fleuren(貝斯)，

組成了地下死亡金屬樂團Disinfest ，

雖然發行了一張Demo卻始終乏人問津，

最後只得草草收場；

沉寂一段時間後兩人再度興起組團念頭，

請來Inhume的Richard Ebisch擔任吉他，

主唱職位由前地下黑團Bestial Summoning的鼓手Maurice Swinkels接下，

在2005年以此黃金陣容創立了Legion of the Damned，

扛起死鞭旗幟浩浩蕩蕩朝搖滾樂壇大步邁進。

隔年與德國知名廠牌Massacre Records簽訂契約發表首張作品「Malevolent Rapture」，

不妥協的飆悍作風正中所有熱血MetalHeads下懷，

更爭取到與Cannibal Corpse、Kataklysm、Destruction的合作機會，

讓Legion of the Damned名聲如平地一聲雷般迅速崛起！

不久後Twan因個人問題必須退出，

改由Richard引薦的Harold Gielen入替，

2007年重新整裝後續推第二作「Sons Of The Jackal」同樣獲得滿堂喝采，

並收邀加入德意志老鞭Sodom的歐洲巡迴行列，

後勢不容小覷。

感想

Legion of the Damned，

來自荷蘭，

將鞭金及死金結合在一起的一支樂團，

一出道就備受注目。

當相當數量的New Wave Of British Heavy Metal樂隊，

開始將Hardcore和Punk等元素融入當中，

這就產生了一種新的金屬樂風格－鞭擊金屬。

連帶的也產生了一種速度極快的金屬風格，

力量稍微比鞭擊金屬輕的風格 - Speed Metal。

美國受敲擊金屬的影響甚深，

故後來發展成為本土的力量金屬，

而代表者有Iced Earth和Nevermore。

Thrash Metal (鞭擊金屬)

速度也極快，具有相當快速的反覆節拍，

電吉他粗麻的音色刷出慓悍的和弦，

極具破壞力及壓迫感的速踩雙大鼓，

主唱粗暴狂吼式的唱腔配合電吉他快速的節奏急速的唱出幾無旋律的曲調．

「鞭擊金屬」以來自舊金山灣區的重金屬團體最具代表性．

一般來說，

Thrash metal的團，

多來自美國，

當然也有先前介紹過的來自德國的Destruction，

但是基本上還是以美國團居多，

真正的Thrash metal，

是會有一種讓人會血脈噴張的感覺的，

但是很多原本的鞭團，

因為時事的需求，

也漸漸的改變的他們的風格。

Legion of the Damned這團，

他們的樂曲擁有強烈的riff，

且在雙大鼓的部分，

並沒有那種只是想要飆速度而亂點的現象，

反而是很穩定的雙踏，

Johnson雖然不是鼓的專門，

但是還是可以聽得出來Legion of the Damned的鼓手實力並不差。

死金與鞭金，

在Legion of the Damned的音樂中，

我們看到了很不錯的搭配，

這團Johnson覺得，

還滿值得推薦的。

大肆施展瘋狂且邪惡的金屬力道！

1985-1988年間透過Steamhammer陸續發表「Infernal Overkill」、

「Eternal Devastation」、AMG(4/5)近滿分推崇的「Release From Agony」，

迅速在境內攻城掠地，登上各大音樂祭典與Slayer、Voivod同台較勁，

令知名度如星火燎原般蔓延開。

但就在即將攀向事業高峰之際，

Marcel卻因理念不合而毅然決然的脫退，

1990年第四擊「Cracked Brain」雖改為André Grieder(Poltergeist)頂替主唱位置，

卻難以修復樂團內部越漸嚴重的問題，

只得帶著百般的遺憾躺進墳墓。

而睽違9年後，在媒體及樂迷的期盼下，

Marcel、Mike終於決定重持屠刀，

找來新鼓手Sven Vormann(稍晚由Marc Reign接任)入籍歐陸名廠Nuclear Blast，

祭出「All Hell Break Loose」、「The Antichrist」、

「Metal Discharge」等高評價傑作，痛快宰殺Poser爛咖，

要這些廢柴們見識到Destruction從地獄歸來後驚人的毀滅破壞力！

繼有著Gary Holt(Exodus)、Jeff Waters(Annihilator)、

Vinnie Moore(UFO)助拳的「D.E.V.O.L.U.T.I.O.N.(2008)」後，

Destruction結束與AMF Records的合作關係，

感想

Destruction，

德意志三大鞭團之ㄧ，

與Sodom、Kreator共同制霸德意志鞭笞王朝，

具備離經叛道反基督意識的金屬團隊。

史上最經典的七支鞭金團體，

分別為美國四天王Metallica（按我）、Megadeth（按我）、Slayer（按我）、Anthrax，

以及德國三馬車Kreator(締造者)、Destruction(毀滅)、Sodom(所多瑪)，

各各都對於現今的鞭金團體，

造成不小的影響。

美國鞭金四天王，

早期帶起了鞭金的風潮，

也讓後期的樂團從其樂風之中，

發展出很多不同的風格出來，

當時能夠與四天王相庭抗衡的，

就只有德國的三馬車，

美國的鞭金，

更帶起了美國力金的發展，

造就了如ICED EARTH及NEVERMORE等樂團。

但後期，

美國鞭金四天王紛紛開始轉變風格，

雖然本質還是依然為鞭金，

但是強度與力度已經比起早期衰弱許多，

相較之下，

德國的三馬車，

卻依然保持著強而有力的POWER，

繼續在鞭金這塊領域上肆虐。

Destruction雖然成立的時間很早，

但是經歷了將近三十個年頭，

並沒有在他們的音樂裡面發現老態，

本次的新專輯還是可以聽的出凶猛的元素存在，

比起於美國的四大團，

可以看得出來德國的三馬車好太多了。

低沉的吉他riff，

渾厚的雙踏股聲，

兼具速度及力量的音樂，

是Johnson對Destruction的見解，

solo的部份，

雖然速度並不是非常快，

但是可以聽得出來，

使用了不少技巧在其中。

Destruction對於喜歡鞭金的人來說，

一定不會不知道他們，

他們表現出鞭金應有的力度與美感，

但對於不熟析鞭金的人來說，

他們則是不容錯過的一支樂團。

當吉他手Kerry King與智利籍的貝司手Tom Araya在洛杉磯當地獨立樂團搞著音樂同時，

遇到正延燒火熱的龐克運動之愛好份子吉他手Jeff Hanneman後，

開始著手創作樂曲，直到鼓手Dave Lombardo正式加入，

一組影響後世甚鉅的樂團Slayer就此誕生。

起初以翻唱Judas Priest和Iron Maiden作品為主，

1983年由於精湛演出獲得金屬猛牌Metal Blade創始人Brian Slagel邀約在合輯中灌錄一首歌，

並也孕育出首張專輯『Show No Mercy』，

在NWOBHM運動蓬勃發展同階段，

感想

Slayer，

四大鞭團之一，

有人說他們是死金，

有人說他們是鞭金，

但在我看來，

他們絕對是鞭金，

只是要說早期死金受到他們的深刻影響，

那絕對不為過。

鞭金起源於美國，

具有非常快速的反覆節拍，電吉他粗礦的音色發出激烈的和弦，

具破壞力及壓迫感的狂踩DOUBLE BASS DRUM，

主音粗暴狂吼式的唱腔配合電吉他快速的節奏，

急速的唱出幾乎無旋律的曲調，

「鞭擊金屬」以來自舊金山區的金屬BAND最具代表性，

鞭金最所為普羅大眾所知道的就是Metallica，

但是個人認為，

Megadeth及Slayer卻比Metallica來的更有感覺。

Slayer最剛開始的名字為Dragonslayer，

靈感是取自於一部電影，

但是在Dragonslayer期間，

樂團並沒有發任何的專輯，

樂團的名稱就改為現在大家所看到的Slayer了，

至於為什麼會改成現在的名字，

據說是因為覺得原來的團名太俗= =，

所以索性將Dragon拿掉，

只留下Slayer，

而在他們改名後，

也發行了第一張專輯Show no marcy，

但是讓他們真正聲名大噪的專輯，

卻是他們的第二張專輯Hell Awaits，

不過據統計，

他們賣得最好的卻是Reign in Blood，

不過自此之後，

他們都有一個很穩定的歌曲產出。

Slayer讓我最印象深刻的，

是他們的吉他手Kerry King，

雙手圖騰的胖子，

但是功力卻是一流的好，

從樂團成立之時就待在團裡面，

應該是除了主唱以外，

Slayer的另一項指標性人物，

也多虧了他，

讓Slayer的鞭金，

不至於像Metallica那樣的....芭樂= =

Slayer是另外一團非常推薦的鞭金團，

除了Megadeth外，

四大鞭團裏面我只推薦這團，

愛鞭金的人，

一定認識他們，

不愛鞭金的人，

你一定要聽聽看他們，

剛接觸metal的人，

這團是很好的開始。

由當時才16歲的天才吉他手/主唱Nick Melissourgos，

於2001年一手成立Suicidal Angels，

經過內部團員的數度更迭，

從Demo、EP到迷你專輯，

因為距離的關係，

讓Suicidal Angels將初始的Demo寄到洛杉磯作混音，

Suicidal Angels，

一支來自希臘的鞭金團，

集合了三種不同曲風的元素，

讓鞭金，

有了不一樣的生命。

Thrash Metal，或稱激流金屬，或稱為鞭擊笞金屬，

屬於重金屬音樂中之一分支。

最原始的敲擊金屬可以追溯到1970年代末80年代初。

當相當數量的英國重金屬新浪潮（New Wave Of British Heavy Metal）樂隊，

開始將硬核（Hardcore）和朋克（Punk）等元素融入當中，

這就產生了一種新的金屬樂風格－鞭擊金屬。

連帶的也產生了一種速度極快的金屬風格，

力量稍微比鞭擊金屬輕的風格——速度金屬（Speed Metal）。

美國受敲擊金屬的影響甚深，

故後來發展成為本土的力量金屬，

美國80年代時期的的"Thrash Metal Big Four" 鞭擊金屬四巨頭：Metallica(按我)（金屬製品）、

這樣整首樂曲才能夠被貫穿起來，

Johnson曾經跟好友Lanch一起練thrash metal，

聽thrash metal團的歌時，

覺得和弦好像沒有很快，

但當戴上耳機拿起吉他跟著一起演奏時，

才會發現，

看似速度不快的樂曲，

其實速度是非常快的。

Suicidal Angels這支樂團，

就整體吉他演奏的功力來看，

他們算是非常不錯的樂團之一了，

兩把吉他的配合在節奏吉他的部分，

很穩定的將和弦的彈奏出來，

而在主吉他的部分，

solo也有一定的水準，

對於他們的吉他部分，

Johnson個人的評價不低。

至於bass的部分，

也是thrash metal中很重要的一環，

Suicidal Angels的bass雖然沒有很突出的表現，

但是穩定的演奏，

卻是thrash metal裡最需要的，

而鼓手的部分，

個人覺得是屬於比較弱的部分，

並沒有很完整的呈現出thrash metal所要的速度及破壞力，

主唱的聲音，

雖然不屬於渾厚的嗓音，

但是並不會讓人很厭惡，

在Suicidal Angels的音樂中，

狂吼式的唱法是比較少見的，

個人覺得，

這樣的唱法，

在Suicidal Angels的樂曲中，

讓thrash metal少了那麼一些power。

Thrash metal發展至今，

說實在話已經鮮少有能夠與大家耳熟能詳的名團相媲美的樂團出現了，

Suicidal Angels算是在這些鮮少樂團中，

還不錯的一支樂團，

喜歡thrash metal的人，

可以去聽聽看他們的音樂。

Metallica（金屬製品樂團）是一支美國重金屬樂團，1981年10月28日成立於美國加州洛杉磯。

該團是重型金屬樂團四巨頭（Metallica、Megadeth、Slayer 和 Anthrax）裡最具影響力的一個樂團，

被視為是該類別甚至是整個金屬界的龍頭大哥。

Metallica歷來專輯總銷量已經突破一億大關，

使得他們成為在藝術和商業上最為成功的重金屬樂團之一。

金屬化樂團（Metallica）現時位於美國唱片業協會美國本土最暢銷音樂排行表的第18位。

Metallica便是由這位網球員鼓手Lars Ulrich和吉他手James Hetfield（後來兼任主唱）於1981年在美國加利福尼亞州帶頭組建，

並在The Recycler雜誌上發廣告，招募主音歌手、貝斯手及吉他手，

後來招到貝斯手Ron McGovney，並且有多名吉他手前來試聽，

比如Lloyd Grant， Brad Parker和Jeff Warner，但都沒有進入樂團，

樂團前期還缺少一個強力的主音吉他手。

樂團名Metallica是由Lars取得，此前Lars的一位朋友Ron Quintana要創辦搖滾雜誌，

拿出一列備選雜誌讓Lars建議一個，其中就有一個名字叫Metallica，

Lars建議用Metal Mania或Hesse，而後來Lars則用Metallica作為樂團的名字。

Metallica早期創作靈感來自齊柏林飛船樂團、黑色安息日、Motörhead、Diamond Head、Saxon、

Thin Lizzy、Mercyful Fate以及其他樂團，並且還受一些朋克樂團影響，

例如Misfits、Zeroption和雷蒙斯合唱團以及英國硬核朋克樂團Discharge。

1982年早些時候，

Metallica為了讓他們的歌曲Hit the Lights收錄進Metal Blade's Brian Slagel的第一張合輯Metal Massacre中，

Lars Ulrich四處尋找合適的主音吉他手，

不久他通過當地報紙聯繫到了來自加利福尼亞州亨廷頓比奇的Dave Mustaine，

Dave Mustaine成為了Metallica的主音吉他手。

1982年3月到4月份間，由主唱兼吉他James Hetfield、主音吉他Dave Mustaine、

貝斯手Ron McGovney及鼓手Lars Ulrich組成的Metallica在Ron McGovney的車庫Ron's Garage中錄製了幾首小樣，

其中包括了Hit The Lights以及Power Metal，幾個月後樂團完整錄製好一張專輯No Life 'Til Leather，

並且受到了受到了地下搖滾樂刊的好評，不久樂團又完成一張現場Demo，取名為Metal Up Your Ass。

過了幾年，Ron McGovney離開了樂團，Metallica希望Trauma的貝斯手Cliff Burton能夠加入Metallica樂團，

Cliff表示如果樂團能遷到他的家鄉Castro Valley的話，他就加入Metallica。

James和Lars同意了該條件，於是Cliff Burton順利成為Metallica一員。

Cliff加入後，樂團錄製了Megaforce。

1983年，Metallica來到紐約，並與Marsha Zazula成立的Megaforce Records簽約，

這個時候Dave Mustaine由於吸毒以及酗酒被樂團開除，

來自Exodus的吉他手Kirk Hammett頂替他成為了Metallica的主音吉他手，

被樂團開除後的Dave Mustaine則自立門戶，組建了自己的樂團Megadeth。

漫談Thrash Metal

Thrash Metal，或稱激流金屬，台灣稱為鞭笞金屬，屬於重金屬音樂中之一分支。

最原始的敲擊金屬可以追溯到1970年代末80年代初。

當相當數量的英國重金屬新浪潮（New Wave Of British Heavy Metal）樂隊，

開始將硬核（Hardcore）和朋克（Punk）等元素融入當中，

這就產生了一種新的金屬樂風格－Thrash Metal。

連帶的也產生了一種速度極快的金屬風格，

力量稍微比鞭擊金屬輕的風格——速度金屬（Speed Metal）。

美國受敲擊金屬的影響甚深，故後來發展成為本土的力量金屬，

而代表者有Iced Earth和Nevermore。

美國80年代時期的的"Thrash Metal Big Four" 鞭笞金屬四巨頭：Metallica（金屬製品）、

Megadeth（大屠殺）、Slayer（殺手）、Anthrax（炭疽）。

感想

Metallica，

一個陪伴我metal啟發之路的樂團，

跟大多數人一樣，

鞭金，是我一開始接觸的metal種類之一，

也曾經是所有metal種類聽最兇的一種，

原因在於，

鞭金強烈的節奏。

雖然相較於鞭金四大團，

我對於Megadeth及Slayer比較偏好，

但是屬於鞭金四大團之首的Metallica，

對於每個人的metal之路，

多多少少都有那麼一些的影響。

記得當時，

練習的第一首國外樂團的歌，

就是metallica的 etntersand man,

雖然最後因為懶惰，

所以沒有練成，

但是也自此開啟對音樂的不解之緣。

如果相較於其他三個團，

metallica的歌曲，

或許並不是那麼樣的強烈，

但是他們的歌曲，

卻是很寫實的歌曲，

歌詞中常常寫出當時社會的現況，

或是一些人的心聲。

Metallica在很多人的心中，

都是一個無法取代的重金屬樂團，

他代表了那個時代的美國金屬演變，

雖然他們現在的團員都已經是中年大叔了，

但是他們的實力還是不容小覷的。

樂團介紹：Bullet For My Valentine 致命情人樂團

致命情人（Bullet for My Valentine）是一組來自英國威爾斯布里真德的金屬樂團。

樂團成立於1998年，最初團名為「Jeff Killed John」，翻唱金屬製品與超脫的歌曲。

Jeff Killed John 錄製了6首歌，但並未發行。其中兩首歌收錄在致命情人的首張專輯。

"《Eye Spy》變為《Hit The Floor》，而《Nation to Nation》變為《Turn to Dispair》。

這兩首歌不僅歌名歌詞的改變，連拍子、吉他、鼓、貝斯、所有音樂都改變了。

經濟拮据改變了他們的音樂方向與團名，在歷經數次團名變動後，最後將團名定為「Bullet for My Valentine」。

2002年，樂團拒絕了 Roadrunner Records 的唱片合約，而與 Sony BMG 簽下了發行五張專輯的唱片約。

致命情人的首張專輯《The Poison》在英國於2005年10月3日發行，美國方面則為了突顯樂團團名，選擇在2006年的情人節發行。

這張專輯是要獻給他們的長期友人 Simon Roy Denning。《The Poison》打進告示牌排行榜第128名，並登上「Top Heatseekers」排行榜冠軍。

到2008年2月6日為止，這張專輯共賣出375,000張。樂團參與了「Download Festival」、Kerrang! XXV 的演出，

並與羅伯殭屍（Rob Zombie）一同在美國巡迴，但最後因主唱 Matthew Tuck 在樂團留言板的留言而被踢除。

第二張專輯《Scream Aim Fire》空降告示牌排行榜第四名，首週賣出53,000張。

1998年，「Jeff Killed John」（Bullet for My Valentine前身）由當時就讀布里真德學院的 Matthew Tuck（節奏吉他、主唱）Michael Paget（吉他）、Nick Crandle（貝斯）和 Michael "Moose" Thomas（鼓）所組成。

樂團翻唱超脫和金屬製品的歌曲，並在2002年發行由 Greg Haver 製作，收錄兩首歌的CD《You/Play With Me》。

這張作品由專門為威爾斯新興音樂人所成立的 Pynci 計劃（Pynci scheme）所資助，並讓樂團獲得在廣播播放的機會。

Jeff Killed John 的團員們希望能搭上新金屬的潮流，如崆樂團和林普巴茲提特 — 讓他們未來能走的長久，並獲得唱片公司的青睞。

貝斯手 Crandle 在錄音前夕離開樂團，由 Jason "Jay" James 代替。當新金屬浪潮逐漸衰退，樂團決定將團名改為Bullet for My Valentine。

Bullet for My Valentine受到了Metallica、Annihilator 、Pantera、Motohead、Iron Maiden 、Testament、Slayer、Stuck Mojo、Judas Priest和Megadeth等樂團的影響。

這些樂團啟發了他們「易記的歌聲、激進的 riff 和旋律」。Blabbermouth.net 的 Scott Alisoglu 在《The Poison》的評論中，

認為他們的音樂「墨守成規」，專輯像是張「為了MTV而做的作品」，和聲類似於瑞典金屬樂團烈焰邪神。

不過，Alisoglu 也讚賞了像是《Tears Don't Fall》等歌曲，結合了「雙吉他、快速敲擊、高速的 tempo 和吉他 solo」。

此團的音樂，

本人評定為金屬樂入門團，

他們的歌，

曲風，及樂器演奏技巧，
