自從"哥登堡之聲"風潮隨著90年代結束而慢慢衰退，

許多紅及一時的樂團紛紛選擇切換跑道而不願被市場所淘汰；

其中The Haunted和One Man Army And The Undead Quartet(以下簡稱One Man Army)，

這兩組分別為At The Gates、The Crown黨羽另起爐灶的先鋒部隊，

以Slayer鞭笞骨幹馬首是瞻，

並適時融入死亡金屬血肉開闢出全新路線Deathrash，

不但保留內在瘋狂血緣，更激起無比凶悍之野性，

同時引領了北歐繼Melodic Death Metal後最重要的金屬革命！




來自瑞典，

曾風光一時的旋律死金大將The Crown在2003年作品「Possessed 13」發行後，

就因內部許多問題而導致解散，

不過卻沒有因此澆熄團中靈魂人物Johan Lindstrand對音樂的熱忱，

稍後找來Mikael Lagerblad(吉他)、Pekka Kiviaho (吉他)、

Valle Adzic(貝斯)、Marek Dobrowolski(鼓)等志同道合的盟友，

組織起Deathrash大軍One Man Army。




自製Demo「When Hatred Comes To Life」派殘暴作風，

以及絕不妥協的強硬態度令樂團名聲迅速在地下圈拓展開，

同時贏得名廠Nuclear Blast青睞進而簽入旗下拱出首張專輯「21st Century Killing Machine(2006)」，

隨後馬上與Children Of Bodom聯手展開40場歐洲巡演；

期間雖然Valle因個人問題必須離去，

但替補的Robert Axelsson幫助這支不死軍隊戰力大大提升至110%！




緊接著偕同Hypocrisy、Soilwork、Scar Symmetry，

進行三週馬不停蹄的The Neckbreakers Ball Tour盛會，

令One Man Army視野再度往前邁開一大步；

2007年換上Mattias Bolander發行第二擊「Error In Evolution」，

更受到樂評媒體極力推崇和雜誌的大篇幅報導，

風光寫下事業之高峰，

證明Johan不需頂著過去光環也可奪得屬於自己的榮耀。

感想



One Man Army And The Undead Quartet，

一支來自瑞典的死亡鞭金團，

雖然成立時間不長，

但卻在這日漸凋零的鞭金界裡，

闖出一片天。




死亡金屬（Death Metal）樂風以「鞭擊金屬」為其背景演化而成，

受鞭擊金屬中Slayer樂團影響，

特點是充斥電吉他快速的反復，

幾無旋律的和絃，速擊狂踩的雙大鼓，

主唱咬牙不清的低吟狂吼（死腔），

歌詞以死亡仇恨為主題，充滿了屍體、內臟、肢解、分屍、

姦屍、戀屍癖、食屍、虐待等字眼，

「死亡金屬」以來自佛羅里達州的重金屬樂隊最具代表性。




在上面的介紹可以看出，

死亡金跟鞭擊金可說是息息相關，

其中將此兩種金屬融合的最為恰當的，

Slayer可說是當之無愧，

也因此創造出了一種新的種類，

DeathThrash，死亡鞭金。




One Man Army And The Undead Quartet的音樂，

速度性相當足夠，

大鼓的雙踏也相當的有水準，

其中可以聽到不少的變拍，

而雙吉他的部份，

節奏以及主吉他的搭配也相當夠水準，

不過Johnson個人認為唯一美中不足的部份，

則是在主唱的部份，

死腔的吼音不夠低沉，

而且爆發力稍嫌不足，

雖然還是在中等水準之上，

但是配合上他們的音樂，

讓人感覺旋律強過vocal。






現在的音樂走向，

開始慢慢的走向多種樂風混搭，

混搭的很就是好樂風好團，

混搭的不好就是四不像，

至於喜歡不喜歡這樣的樂風，

完全取決於樂迷自己的觀感，

但是就Johnson個人而言，

有新的種類出現，

才能刺激原有種類的進化，

這也未嘗不件好事。
