嫌Korn、Slipknot太久沒發片？

成軍於肯塔基州路易斯維爾的五人搖滾勁旅Flaw/裂紋合唱團，

曾分別在1998年和2000年於獨立音樂廠牌旗下，

發表『Flaw』和『Drama』兩張EP熱受各界擁抱，

原團名為「F. Law」、曾替「魔蠍大帝」電影原聲帶操刀製作大任的Flaw，

也從不讓Nu-Metal歌迷失望。





由主唱Jason Daunt、吉他手Chris Volz、貝斯手兼合音Ryan Jurhs、

鼓手Chris Ballinger和第二吉他手Lance Arny組合而成的Flaw，

聽著他們的"Inner Strength"、"Whole"和"Only The Strong"幾首成名作，

歌裡雖滿載著放肆和咆哮，然而，他們的搖滾中似乎隱約帶點悲傷的氛圍，

仔細研究的結果，原來是吉他手Chris Volz的聲樂家繼母在他12歲時自殺了，

這個無比的衝擊同時激起了他心中無限的創作漣漪，

他把所有的情感化為音符、把所有的問號化為怒吼，

無怪乎歌迷曾在網路上表示：Flaw的音樂有眼淚的味道。





2000年簽入環球體系、並由David Bottrill(Peter Gabriel)，

主掌製作大局的首發專輯『Through The Eyes』耀獲Billboard潛力新人榜冠軍，

媒體、樂評、歌迷三方高度注目，

2004年初夏於環球音樂發表的【Endangered Species】，

首發單曲"Recognize"拿下Billboard主流搖滾榜Top40、後勢看俏；

抒情佳釀"Wait For Me"展現堅固柔情的一面。

感想



Flaw，

一支來自美國的 Nu - Metal樂團，

在各大nu metal團不再那麼密集出專輯之時，

為此種樂風帶來另外一股力量。



Nu - Metal，

是90年代的產物，

當時hip hop以及rap正風行於全世界，

想當然爾金屬樂界怎麼可能會錯過這樣的機會，

初期以Korn以及Limp Bizkit所領軍的rap metal，

完完全全的震撼了整個金屬樂界，

也在廣大樂迷中，

造成很大的迴響，

但是這樣的風潮，

終究不敵發展已久的各種金屬樂風，

來得快去得也快，

漸漸的這種樂風的樂迷開始回歸到原本喜愛的樂風，

也漸漸的讓Nu metal的樂團一個一個慢慢的消失了。



但是nu metal並沒有消失，

依然有不少的樂團，

堅持這樣的樂風，

並且想盡辦法要讓它發揚光大，

Flaw就是一個很好的例子，

當Korn、Limp Bizkit等大團相繼出現專輯斷層的時候，

Flaw確實的銜接上了這個斷層，

並且用了另外一種的方式來讓nu metal繼續延續，

他們的音樂，

兇猛之中帶有憂傷，

這跟其他的nu metal到是有些不同。



Flaw採用雙吉他手的配置，

他們的吉他手，

其實並不算是技巧很高的吉他手，

在他們音樂之中，

並不會聽到有很高超的技巧在其中，

鼓的部分，

屬於厚實的類型，

而主唱的部分，

主vocal絕大多數負責的是rap的部分，

而backin vocal則是負責清腔的部分，

這樣的搭配，

讓他們的音樂，

產生了多元性，

並不會只是一昧的衝衝衝，

而是依照變拍變調的調整，

而有不同的vocal來搭配，

這樣的搭配算是比較具有特色的。




Nu - Metal這種樂風，

很容易被接受，

因為他們偏向於流行，

但卻又不失金屬樂的精神，

但也很容易被遺忘，

因為聽久了，

會膩，

如果聽膩了其他nu metal大團的音樂，

不妨換個口味，

來聽聽Flaw的音樂吧。
