1994年五月的初夏，在蔚藍的斯堪地那維亞天空下，
三位深愛著淒美和黑暗深淵的文學史詩樂手John Ericson(Drums、Vocals)、
Andy Hindenas(Guitars)、Jesper Stolpe(Bass、Vocals)共同組成Kerberos樂團(Draconian前身)，
重金屬樂風的編制，再加上黑金屬那種如刀刃般的力量、速度，
塑造了一隊在瑞典受人注目的極端黑金屬新星。
七個月後，Anders Jacobsson以第一線主唱、詩人的身分加入，
Anders的文學作品必須要用緩慢且又扎實的音樂來襯托那淒美、無助、自我的意境，
Kerberos的音樂風格也轉變為壯麗交響式的毀滅金屬，
而Kerberos也因此易名為Draconian(在表達宗教的教規式如此的嚴厲，
對所有有信仰的人們都太殘酷)。
Turning Season Within是Draconian 2008的作品，
依照慣例，Draconian緩慢扎實的毀滅式金屬，
完全釋放出人類負面的無助、失落、悲傷、憤怒，
Anders和團員們再次撰寫出九首讓人喪失自我的作品，
無論是詩詞的撰寫或是音樂上的編制，
很顯明的比上一張專輯來的成熟許多，
天籟般的聲音沈淪在魔鬼般的嘶吼彩繪出隱藏在黑灰背後的鮮豔色彩，
絕望、失喪的音符如輕盈的絲絨圍繞飄舞著每個聽覺神經，
每一個鼓點重擊彷彿地獄之鎚，
擊中了每個人最脆弱的傷處。
Draconian再一次成功的將渴慕死亡的意境用音樂與詩詞釋放出來，
樂迷必須要再一次用心去體驗 Turing Season Within這張死亡啟示錄，
是一張令人痛心毫哭得毀滅金屬鉅作。

感想
Draconian，
瑞典歌德金屬天團，
天籟歌聲融入冰涼冷豔之參數，
瑰麗多姿陰柔激情化為不朽音符。
哥德金屬誕生於20世紀90年代初的歐洲，
由死亡厄運金屬發展而來，
哥德金屬音樂按照所融合的重金屬樂的不同類型，
也有不同分類，
而歌詞上，既有哥德小說式的，
也有描述個人經歷的，
極富戲劇性並充滿悲傷與感悟。
哥德金屬的先驅，包括來自英格蘭北部的Paradise Lost，
My Dying Bride，Anathema，
來自美國的Type O Negative，
來自瑞典的Tiamat和來自荷蘭的The Gathering，
而挪威樂隊Theatre of Tragedy開創了「美女與野獸」的風格，
將侵略性的男聲和女聲清嗓結合，
這種鮮明的對比從此被諸多哥德金屬樂隊採用。
90年代中期，Moonspell和Cradle of Filth在黑金屬中加入了哥德元素，
90年代末，在Tristania和Within Temptation的帶動下，
哥德金屬出現了向交響金屬發展的方向。
進入21世紀，哥德金屬在歐洲已進入主流，
尤其是在芬蘭，諸如The 69 Eyes、Entwine、HIM、
Lullacry、Poisonblack、Sentenced等樂隊均創造了排行榜熱門歌曲和暢銷專輯，
儘管如此，在美國，只有很少樂隊，
比如HIM、Lacuna Coil、Evanescence、Cradle of Filth取得了商業成功，
在中國，哥德金屬同其他重型音樂一樣主要靠地下傳播，
其中Lacrimosa是最受中國樂迷歡迎的樂隊，
而Evanescence是唯一一支在中國大陸有主流發行渠道的樂隊。
哥德金屬在音樂上的基本特點是其黑暗氛圍，
「黑暗」一詞常被用來形容哥德音樂，
類似的詞還有「深邃」、「憂鬱」、「浪漫」、「激情」、「劇烈」等，
哥德金屬可描述為「哥德搖滾的黑暗憂鬱與重金屬樂的結合」，
Allmusic則將該音樂風格定義為：「哥德搖滾的蒼涼冰冷氛圍與重金屬侵略性的吉他轟鳴」間的融合。
Allmusic還進一步指出：
「純正的哥德金屬都受到哥德搖滾的直接影響，
飄渺的合成器之聲以及鬼魅的音律架構，
在重要性上不亞於吉他riff」。
哥德金屬因樂隊追尋的方向不同而呈現出多樣性，
既有「緩慢極具壓迫性的」，
又有「交響般恢弘壯闊的」，
具有Doom Metal背景的Paradise Lost、My Dying Bride開創了這一風格，
接過他們旗幟的有Ava Inferi、Draconian。
Cradle of Filth、 Theatres des Vampire以及Moonspell領軍哥德黑金屬，
後起之秀有Graveworm、Trail of Tears等,
Tritania、Within Temptation將交響金屬引入哥德領域，
Epica、Sirenia、After Forever同屬此列，
其他方向如與旋律死亡金屬結合的Crematory、Dark the Suns，
與民謠金屬結合的Midnattsol，
與工業金屬結合的Deathstars、Gothminister，
與另類金屬結合的Katatonia等。
哥德金的發展雖不比死金或是黑金來的久，
但是因為其音樂特性，
導致哥德金的發展史中，
又分別發展出了許多的分類，
例如哥德黑，哥德死，哥德毀滅，哥德交響，哥德力金等等，
也因為哥德金的絕望特色，
讓很多人其實在聽歌德金的音樂時，
假如當時的情緒是比較低落的，
就很容易的可以融入到音樂之中，
被音樂帶入絕望的深淵。
Draconian他們的Vocal部分，
採用了歌德今一貫的男女雙主唱的配置，
男聲則是負責黑腔的部份，
而女聲的部份，
則是負責清腔的部分，
在女聲清腔的部分，
由於Lisa的音域Johnson個人感覺是屬於比較輕且高的，
所以當她演唱歌曲時，
會給人一種幽幽的感覺，
而且當她演唱時，
那種絕望，空虛，憂傷的感覺也因為她的唱腔，
得到了加成，
男聲的部分，
個人覺得Anders的黑腔並不是非常的優秀，
Johnson個人覺得如果能再低一點，
在沉重一些，
配上Draconian的音樂，
會更好。
Draconian的歌曲，
編排上屬於故事性的的編排，
每首歌之間，
都有一些關聯性，
每張專輯都大約控制在8~9首歌，
但是歌曲時間長度卻是十足的，
歌曲之中，
並沒有太多繁複的技巧，
但是卻透過很巧妙的搭配，
讓他們的音樂，
其實很豐富。
對於哥德金有興趣的朋友，
Draconian這團是你不應該錯過的一團，
他們的絕望，
他們的冷冽，
值得你去細細品嚐。
