樂團BIO

Mercenary；指的是只為金錢利益參加各種武裝衝突的特殊兵種，

只要對方出價較高，他可以受雇於任何人。

但來自丹麥的Melodic Death Metal樂團Mercenary，

他們不為任何人效命，

只堅持自己的音樂信仰，

誓言在前輩King Diamond、Mercyful Fate所奠定的良好基礎下，

讓家鄉的名聲在金屬版圖中繼續擴大勢力！

91年成軍，

早期揮舞著正統旋律死金之旗幟於獨立廠牌奮鬥，

直至關鍵人物Mikkel(清腔主唱)、Morten Sandager(鍵盤)兄弟拍檔加入，

替樂團灌入新的化學元素，

擷取Power、Progressive與Melodic Death之間平衡點作融合，

令樂團得到空前的成功；

’04年被國際名廠Century Media招攬至旗下，

推出重要作品「11 Dreams」，

獲BW&BK、Metal Hammer等知名重金屬雜誌強力推薦。

感想

Mercenary，

來自丹麥的雄獅，

算是繼阿蒙之後Johnson個人認為，

算是近期一支不錯的旋死團。

常常聽到大家談論旋死，

不外乎就是COB，Arch Enemy等，

COB算是早期非常成功打入主流市場的重金屬樂團，

但是後期跟In Flames一樣，

雖然沒有轉變風格，

但是整個兇猛的程度已不復以往，

讓人感到惋惜。

旋律死金為什麼會讓廣大的重金屬樂迷如此瘋狂，

在於它的旋律性，

狂暴的riff，強烈的雙大鼓，

主唱低沉的死腔，

花俏卻不失技巧性的solo，

結合在一起，

就是Melodic Death Metal，

它的凶猛程度，

不會比傳統死金來的弱，

但是絕對比傳統死金來的多元性。

Mercenary這支樂團，

他們擁有很不錯的樂曲編排，

旋律性滿高的，

而吉他在演奏上，

技巧的使用也很多元化，

主唱在清腔與死腔的轉換之間，

並沒有太多的不順暢的現象發生，

清腔與死腔轉換算是很流暢的一個主唱，

鼓手的部份，

並沒有很突出的表現，

在樂曲的編排上，

鼓的部份也並沒有會讓人眼睛為之一亮的爆點，

算是比較可惜的。

Mercenary，

對於喜歡旋死的人來說，

他們算是一個很不錯的選擇，

因為他們在旋死之中，

還加入了力金的元素，

算是比較不一樣的旋死團。
