樂團BIO

來自芬蘭，團名取自於家鄉古代戰神之名的Turisas，

由靈魂人物Warlord和Jussi於1997年成立；

其精采融合民謠、交響金屬元素，

以維京人(Viking)熱血戰役為主題，

創造出在樂壇中獨樹一格的金屬風格。

 

Warlord曾表示過他並不喜歡內容只有龍跟魔法師諸如此類的重金屬，

誓言要運用歷史與神話交錯的幻想火花來建造Turisas的不朽地位。

分別於1999 / 2001年自製的Demo 、EP在樂壇掀起一股話題熱潮，

那讚頌著古戰士英勇事蹟的磅礡鉅獻令人彷彿回到10世紀以前的史詩帝國，

大家都在問這麼優秀的樂團到底是誰？

 

2004年Turisas入主Century Media推出了石破天驚的首張專輯「Battle Metal」一解眾人疑問；

除一般樂團的編排方式外，

巧妙運用了熟捻的民謠手法融合大量的交響風格襯底，

威力勁道的優美旋律以及Warlord那饒富Melodic Death色彩的嗓音實為樂團獨一無二之特色。

 

初試啼聲的Turisas卻能有如此獨特且大將之風範確實不容易，

更被Metal Hammer評為06年度最佳新進樂團，

此張「Battle Metal」不但成為Turisas的曲風代名詞，

且必定在龐大的歐陸金屬版圖中掀起平地一聲雷之效應！

感想

Turisas，

芬蘭民謠金屬樂團，

團員在演出時會在臉上換上紅黑相間的線條，

穿上古式戰袍，

是他們的特色。

 

民謠金屬是重金屬音樂的其中一個分支，

它的演奏特色主要是加入了民謠用到的樂器，

如小提琴、中提琴、豎琴等。

 

 

通常民謠金屬樂團在自己本土的商業上發展沒有太大的成功，

但卻在別的國家流行致富起來。

如Northumbrian 民謠金屬樂團Skyclad，

在英國不太出名，但卻招徠歐洲、美洲大陸一大批的支持者。

 

又如凱爾特金屬 樂團Cruachan，

在愛爾蘭不太出名但卻在俄羅斯裡流行。

然而整體而言，民謠金屬大多被視為離不開奇幻小說的內容，

此類金屬樂團大多利用自己的民族文化注入重金屬音樂內，

但因好奇的心態，此種特色吸引了不少人接觸。

較出名的民謠金屬樂團有Skyclad， Waylander，Cruachan，Vintersorg，Finntroll和Elvenking。

 

Skyclad被公認為民謠金屬的先導者，

但當時並未開始流行起來，

直至90年代中期至末期出現了 Cruachan、Otyg 及 Windir 帶動民謠金屬的潮流，

東歐成了很多具民謠色彩黑金屬樂團的發源地，

如著名的Graveland和Nokturnal Mortum。

樂團Bathory更首先發表專輯如Hammerheart，

帶來了將維京神話、歷史元素注入民謠金屬的議論。

 

民謠金在樂曲中添加了大量的各式樂器，

不同地區會有不同的樂器存在於樂團之中，

以至於發展出各地特色的民謠金，

甚至向中東及印度，

也有如中東民謠金及吠陀金這樣的分類出現。

 

 

Turisas在民謠金的分類裡，

Johnson對他們並沒有特別喜愛，

因為他們使用的樂器並不是特殊的民族樂器，

而是使用小提琴，

雖說如此，

他們的音樂還是值得一聽的，

原因在於他們的音樂，

擁有民謠金的元素之一，

歡樂，

相信聽過民謠金的人都知道，

民謠金聽起來的感覺，

常常給人一種很歡樂的感覺，

民謠金常常與維京金結合，

而維京金眾所皆知就是以海盜的故事為基礎，

海盜就是大口吃肉大口喝酒，

喝醉了就唱歌，

一片歡樂，

民謠金裡面常常會有這樣的現象產生，

而Turisas也不例外。

 

Turisas主唱的聲音，

並不算是很吸引人的聲音，

但也不至於讓人有太多的缺點可以去挑剔，

其餘樂手Johnson個人對於他們的bass比較有興趣，

因為他們的吉他手並沒有很強的技巧表現，

反而在樂曲中可以發現，

bass手的表現算是很不錯的，

而鼓手也不算弱的，

雖說他們是民謠金，

但缺點是他們的小提琴並沒有很亮眼及很多的表現，

感覺上有點像是串場的樂手，

這倒是比較令人失望的一點。

 

 

Turisas在民謠金裡面，

並不是屬於那種很讓人振奮的樂團，

不過某些歌曲還是可以去聽的，

如果喜歡民謠金的人，

這團或許不會讓你很喜愛，

但也不會讓你失望到哪裡去。
