來自加拿大中部省份Saskatchewan，

由三位氣味相投的樂手Scott Krall(貝斯手)、

Jim Austin(鼓手)以及Tim Roth(吉他手)發起之樂風獨特的Into Eternity，

所呈現出的是兩種極端的混合體。

深受Rush、Dream Theater、Death、

Nevermore、Iron Maiden之影響，

他們拓展了在一般印象中死亡金屬以及前衛金屬的邊疆，

重新定義那定義不明的邊垂地帶。

巧妙的融合兩者的特徵:前衛金屬的編曲複雜、合聲優美、樂手的個人表現，

死亡金屬的非人般獸吼、粗暴激烈的吉他riffs，

疾速開炸的blast beats互補而成，

金屬雜誌Metal Maniac還評論Into Eternity為"存在於自己創立的樂風裡"，

可見其獨行特立的作風以及樂風融合的成功！

 





1999年在自行發行的首張同名專輯「Into Eternity」，

獲得荷蘭廠牌DVS的賞識，並於隔年在DVS旗下重發，

隨後的專輯「Dead Or Dreaming」狂受國際好評並受到注目，

這讓Into Eternity馬上歸順在國際金屬大廠Century Media的麾下，

更能一展驚人雄厚的實力與獨行特立的樂風融合。

入主Century Media的首張專輯「Buried In Oblivion」，

由於Rob Doherty與Tim Roth紛紛遭受痛失親人之苦，

在歌詞上注入了許多人生黑暗色彩的能量，

開頭曲目"Splintered Visions"耳銳的樂迷應該聽的出濃厚前衛變拍以及疾速、拆解複雜的樂器演奏，

緊接而來死亡金屬的凶暴與嘹喨清楚的唱腔形成強烈對比。

開門見山的馬上就讓你感受Into Eternity的獨樹一格，

頗具Arch Enemy氣味的"Embraced by Desolation"熱血沸騰，

 "3 Dimensional Aperture"則是充滿親人逝去的黑暗色彩，

"Buried In Oblivion"除了讚嘆Into Eternity優異的編曲技巧之外，

空心吉他震盪的極大反差創造迥然迴異的氛圍，

感想

Into Eternity，

究竟是前衛，

還是死金，

Into Eternity一出來，

就讓人傻傻分不清楚，

所以後來大家就這樣給了他一個分類，

Progressive death metal - 前衛死金。

主唱清腔與死腔的轉換，

段落分明，

且在一首歌中，

不斷的以清腔及死腔間不停的轉換，

讓聽的人有一種聽覺上的震撼，

雖然清腔與死腔轉換的很順暢，

但各人覺得他的死腔不夠具爆炸性，

簡單來說，

就是太死了，

導致清腔時的唱功與聲音，

反到比較吸引我。

前衛金的特色，

在於複雜的編曲，

也是就玩前衛金的樂手，

在基本功上要有一定的水準，

而死金，

需要有狂暴的riff及爆炸性的聽覺，

就樂手的方面，

吉他手的部分，

表現的還不差，

但是solo的部分稍嫌弱了一點，

鼓手部分，

屬於樂手部分比較弱的環節，

原因在於，

個人覺得他的鼓手，

好像ㄍ一ㄥ的很辛苦，

並不是很輕鬆的作切換，

個人感覺，

鼓手功力有待提升，

對於此團會有更好的幫助。

前衛金與死金的結合，

在金屬界並不常見，

可以玩到一定的水準的更是少數，

Into Eternity在這個種類裡，

算是還不差的團，

不論你是喜歡前衛金，

還是喜歡死金，

Into Eternity是一個你可以去聽的團，

但是好與不好，

就見仁見智了。
