來自瑞典的歌德金屬/死亡金屬/交響金屬/歌劇式金屬樂隊，
將古典交響樂的磅?氣勢與歌劇式的唱腔注入金屬樂中，
魅力懾人。音樂中有嘶啞的男聲咆哮與歌劇女聲的清唱，
吉它與小提琴的對奏，風格獨特魅力無限，
他們自詡為“先鋒交響樂/管弦樂/歌劇式金屬”。
樂隊核心Christofer不單是一位喜歡用Macintosh電腦及Cabase VST 軟件的“重金屬樂手”，
事實上，他在很多方面都有別於一般約定俗成的Death Metal樂手，
他甚至視自己為一位作曲家多於一位演奏家，
而他對各種古代少數民族語文、神秘主義教派及宗教歷史典故之深厚認識，
亦使他相對地成為金屬圈子內不常見的智慧型學者。

感想

Therion，
來自瑞典的多人美聲金屬樂團，
從死亡金屬轉變成為美聲歌劇金，
繼續讓廣大的樂迷們瘋狂著。




Symphonic Metal(交響金屬)，亦稱劇院金屬（Opera Metal），
是哥德金屬和力量金屬演化出來的另一個支流，
交響金屬往往以歌劇女高音作為主音，
當然有時亦會採用低沉的男聲作主音，
經一雄一雌的主音配合下，
就如歌劇美女與野獸一樣，
而一部分交響金屬樂團均仿傚美女與野獸的特色，
另外，樂團使用了歌劇式／交響樂式的主題，
製造出宛如交響樂般的感覺。

交響金屬的代表樂團幾乎都是大家耳熟能詳的樂團，
例如After Forever、Within Temptation、Nightwish等，
這些樂團的女主唱，通常都是樂團之中的靈魂，
或許高亢，或許幽蘭，或許空靈的演唱方式，
讓這些樂團在金屬界擁有相當龐大的樂迷，
而因交響金屬是由歌德金屬演化而來，
所以其實他們的音樂之中，
通常都會帶有強烈的歌德氣息在裡面，
而歌德金屬在現今的世代裡面，
因編曲方式，以及MV拍攝手法，
是較為讓一般樂迷能夠接納以及喜愛的。




Therion這支樂團，
因早期為死亡金屬，
在後期轉換成為交響金屬之後，
並沒有將其死亡金屬的部分完全給捨棄，
反而融合了死亡金以及交響金的特色，
演變出來了具有特色的樂風，
而他們是第一支在現場使用交響樂團的重金屬樂團，
將古典的交響元素寫入音樂之中，
並且成為了這類行樂風的典範及基礎。




或許很多人聽到交響金屬，
就會很自然的聯想到新古典金，
但其實兩者的差別非常的大，
或許Therion的音樂不像Nightwish這樣的樂團，
那麼樣的能夠讓一般聽眾接受，
但是對於想要了解交響金屬的樂迷們，
這是一支不容錯過的樂團。
