如同古希臘傳說故事中以美妙歌聲迷惑行船人的Sirenia，

具有魅力黑暗歌德聲調，混搭古典交響音頻，

攫取屬於黑暗死亡金屬的演繹風格，

就在Gothic Metal浪潮中成為佼佼者的組合Tristania開出一片天後，

其中可把玩演唱、吉他、貝斯、鼓、鍵盤和創作核心人物Morten Veland，

另外組織起Sirenia萬眾矚目的超級隊伍。

來自挪威的全方位好手Morten，

將Tristania推向事業高峰，

於2001年和團員有了意見上分歧而離開Tristania，

直到遇上志同道合且擔任吉他和清唱部分的老友Kristian Gundersen之後，

隨即招兵買馬的建立起Sirenia。

相當引人入勝的女主音部分，

一開始錄音過程並不順利，

經過徵選決定Fabienne Gondamin擔綱，

並推出首張處女秀「At Sixes And Sevens」，

贏得Metal Rules五星滿分+AMG四星高評。

不過就在籌備第二張作品時，

Fabienne離開換上Henriette Bordvik，

齊力出版「An Elixir For Existence」專輯，

和「Sirenian Shores」EP。

2005年Henriette單飛，

由丹麥籍曾任Progressive/Gothic樂團Sinphonia主唱Monika Pedersen入替，

緊接著問市「Nine Destinies And A Downfall」，

紛紛拿下Metal Rules+Kerrang四星半推崇。

一波數折的Sirenia，

相距兩年發行第四張大碟「The 13th Floor」，

也交由全新女主唱Ailyn負責，

她不僅是從西班牙的歌唱選秀X Factor脫穎而出，

更能用英語、法語、西班牙語、日語和希伯來語演繹歌曲。

感想

Sirenia，

一支來自挪威國度的歌德金屬樂團，

打著美聲女主唱的名號，

在歌德金屬的領域裡，

闖出了一片天。

跟許多歌德金屬團一樣，

Sirenia擁有一名唱功不賴的女主唱，

搭配上全能的樂手Morten Veland，

使得Sirenia的音樂不只在旋律性上很有味道，

在歌詞以及編曲上也很有一定的水準。

嚴格來說，

Sirenia是Morten個人的樂團，

因為翻開歷史成員以及現任成員，

大多是每隔一兩年就會換一批樂手，

不論是女主唱或是其他樂手皆是如此，

但也或許是因為Morten的音樂造詣實在夠水準，

所以Sirenia的作品都能保有一定的水準以及出品量，

且不論怎麼換樂手，

Sirenia都能夠保有原有的風格，

這或許就是Morten的堅持吧。

Sirenia較為人所知的歌曲及專輯，

為2007年發行的專輯，

其中的My Mind's Eye 也受到各大歌德精選的親睞，

紛紛收錄於其中，

Monika Pedersen的聲音無庸置疑，

大概是Johnson聽Sirenia這麼多女主唱以來，

感覺最適合Sirenia的女主唱，

但是Ailyn卻是Johnson認為所有擔任過Sirenia女主唱裡，

身材最姣好樣貌最美豔的女主唱，

當然聲音的部份也有一定的水準。

樂手部分，

Morten不用多談，

樂團所需的樂器樣樣精通，

且還有作詞作曲的功力，

也是Sirenia的靈魂所在，

其餘樂手，

因為一直更換的緣故，

Johnson並沒有辦法對此樂團的樂手去做評判，

唯一能夠談論的，

就是加入Sirenia的樂手，

皆能夠使Sirenia的音樂站在同一水平線上，

而且只會往上，

並不會往下退步，

這是Johnson聽過這麼多樂團，

比較推崇的一點，

很多的團體換了樂手，

風格就變了，

感覺就變了，

但是在Sirenia，

並不會有這樣的情形發生。

Sirenia對於歌德金愛好者來說，

Johnson認為不應該錯過，

在樂手更換如此頻繁的情況下，

還能有穩定的表現，

錯過了，

真的有些可惜了。
